Hypertufa (Making Your Own Flower Pot)
Learn how to make your own flower pot or trough using a mixture of sand, peat and cement. Hypertufa can be used to make fake rocks, flower pots, concrete looking leaves, and other garden decorations.
This program is sponsored by the Blackford County Extension Service, and will be held on May 17 from 10:00 am to noon at the Blackford County Fairgrounds. The cost is $20 and is due at the time of registration. Everyone will be making a trough to take home. Dress accordingly - this is a fun, but messy project!

People from all walks of life have agreed to share their gifts of music to raise money to help defeat cancer. A free-will donation will be taken at the program. Oak Hill will offer a two-week session of swimming lessons beginning Monday, June 2nd through Friday, June 13th. The 10 lessons will run Monday through Friday. Each class will consist of 30 minutes of instruction and 5 minutes of recreation for a total of 35 minutes. Classes offered include Mommy and Me for those age 6 months to 4 years old, Levels 1 through 5 and introduction to diving. Levels 1 and 2 are in the shallow end of the pool. E-Z-GO/Angels Among Us 5th Annual Golf Classic will be Saturday, June 7th with an 8am shotgun start at Walnut Creek & Club Run Golf Courses in Marion.
